Frank is passionate about innovation – in particular about boosting the front-end of innovation, where foresight and insights guide idea generation, and where ideas are being turned into investment opportunities. As the former Head of Innovation Development at Novozymes, Frank has an experienced-based perspective on what makes innovation successful in big organisations.
Frank has a PhD in Biochemistry from Freie Universität Berlin and came to Denmark over 20 years ago as a postdoctoral fellow at the former National Research Laboratory Risø. He then joined Novozymes in the year 2000 working in R&D, New Business Creation, Scouting and M&A before heading up Innovation Development.
Due to his career Frank has developed deep insights and a broad network within industrial biotechnology, agro-biotech, renewable energy, chemical industry, health & nutrition and house-hold care.
Besides his work at the Institute, Frank advises corporate clients on innovation and biotech investment opportunities.
