What is your take on the future?
“Thinking about the future, we often have a tendency to overestimate the threats and spend too little time on opportunities for shaping the future ourselves. I believe this is true for many companies as well, and that’s a shame. However, this is where futures studies comes in handy”
What interests you in terms of futures studies?
“Obviously, I’m in my comfort zone speaking about Economic Growth and Technological Development, but the megatrend I find the most interesting is Acceleration – how are businesses currently coping with the high speed of development? I believe, many big companies will be seriously challenged in how to create a governance structure, which is more flexible in its essence to deal with the current level of changes we are experiences - not only in the financial industry but in many parts of the business world today and most certainly in the future.
