MR 2/2017: – Working in the Age of Hyper-agility - Stavanger

Date:13 June 2017

Time:14:00

Place:Stavanger

At the meeting we present the first of two members’ reports about the future of work and work life. It is based on international state-of-the-art research, including CIFS’s own extensive research and research for major companies like ISS and HP.

On this basis, the members’ report provides a comprehensive view of future work and work life and is structured around the three areas:

How do we work, what do we work with, and what new business logics, job types, and organisational forms will we see?

Driving forces here are megatrends like acceleration, technological advances, network society, and individualisation.

Drivers here are megatrends like demographic development, technological advances, immaterialisation, polarisation, and individualisation.

We are moving from work place to ‘work now’ as work increasingly can be undertaken from any location, but fixed, physical places will still exist – though their nature will change in the future, and that is what is interesting. Immaterial values, signals, and employees’ desire for influence and inspiration become important.

Driving forces here are megatrends like automation and polarisation.

The report is relevant to all sectors, industries, and organisational types, and is created under the management of Jeffrey Saunders, director at CIFS and manager of the Danish branch of the international Facility Management Association’s Workplace Evolutionary Hub; a world-leading work life network.

Working in the Age of Hyper-agility will be followed later in 2017 by the members’ report Creating the Best in Class Work Strategy in the Age of Hyper-agility. In this upcoming report, we focus on companies’ and organisations’ strategic implementation of the recommendations in the first report.
