Patrick Gallen is deeply interested in how systems, societies, and institutions change, and the people, ideas, and events that drive that change. His talks aim to identify developments on the horizons and at the margins of society and today’s discourse and explore how they stand to impact everything from our everyday lives to our values, norms, and expectations as well as the structure of the institutions that govern us. In his role as Senior Advisor and Futurist at the Institute, Patrick has worked with a diverse range of clients and partners on local, regional, and international projects related to the future of healthcare, geopolitics, and the role of foresight in governance – experiences which are also reflected in his talks. Patrick can do talks in English, Danish, and Swedish.
Patrick has a background in healthcare, law, and public administration. Patrick obtained a bachelor’s degree in Politics and Law from The New School in New York City in 2016 and a master’s degree in International Public Administration and Politics from Roskilde University in Denmark.
Prior to joining the Institute, Patrick worked as a university research assistant and assistant lecturer in constitutional law in New York City and market researcher in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
