Klaus is an experienced futurist focusing on the role of scientific and technological advances will play on all aspects of future societies. He is the science editor and writer on Scenario Magazine and regular co-writer of the Institute’s quarterly Scenario Reports. He was the editor and main writer of the Institute’s 2004 book Creative Man and has co-written the 2011 book Modkultur – fra underground til bundlinje with Katrine K. Pedersen. Klaus is an experienced speaker and has done presentations all over Europe as well as in Brazil and Russia, and he regularly contributes with his knowledge in projects for major global companies and organisations.
Klaus has a bachelor in Physics & Astronomy from University of Copenhagen and has worked in jobs in several sectors before joining the Institute in 2001, including three years as a professional writer and translator.
Besides his work as a futurist, Klaus is an occasional writer of science fiction and fantasy, with one novel and a short story collection to show for it, besides numerous stories published in Danish magazines and anthologies. He is one of Denmark’s foremost scholars on science fiction and fantasy literature and is the main editor of the magazine Himmelskibet¸ which deals with these and similar genres.
