Junior Associate

Are you looking for an internship that combines the explorative world of futures studies and foresight with strategic advisory practices, while working with global thought leaders in health? An internship with the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies (CIFS) provides you with a unique opportunity to do just that. 

The Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies is looking for a full-time Health Junior Associates (Advisory intern) from January 20th, 2025, for 5-6 months. The internship is on-site in Copenhagen. The deadline for applications is October 30th, 2024. Note: It is possible to earn ECTS-credits as part of the internship

CIFS is an independent, non-profit futures think tank. A dedicated CIFS team works in the intersection of public and personalized health focusing on application of data, empowering citizens, and creating ecosystems of collaboration. We work towards the betterment of healthcare by leveraging our multidisciplinary capabilities to equip and inspire individuals and organisations, decision-makers, and the public, to act on the future, today. In addition to facilitating the shift to more sustainable healthcare systems, we publish reports and magazines in collaboration with major health players, organise talks, and courses, and create various joint-venture initiatives.   

MAIN ASSIGNMENTS 

Your main assignments will be to: 

  • Conduct research and analyses in the field of health 
  • Produce insights, results, and recommendations for clients 
  • Develop presentation material for workshops and presentations 
  • Assist in facilitation of workshops with clients 
  • Support the health team with a wide variety of ad-hoc tasks

As our new Health Junior Associate, you will mainly be working with our health team as part of a diverse, multi-disciplinary, and international team, with an interesting and varied project portfolio. There is an opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in a wide variety of national, regional and global projects involving public, private and civil society stakeholders across various health topics. Also, you will have the opportunity to publish your own articles on future-related topics through our FARSIGHT publication team. We offer you the chance to explore the future of health together with us and our clients, as well as provide insight into our methodologies.   

WHAT YOU OFFER 

We expect you to a graduated or currently master-level student with a relevant academic background. We value diverse backgrounds and personalities, but you must possess: 

  • A high level of personal drive and ambition 
  • A creative, analytical, and versatile mind-set 
  • The ability to manage and solve complex issues and a desire to strive to exceed client expectations 
  • A positive attitude and a good sense of humour to fit into our workplace culture 
  • Fluency in English, verbally as well as in writing, Danish and/or additional languages a plus 
  • Health-related academic degrees (life sciences, public/global health, health policy, etc.) are a distinct advantage 
  • You are currently a student (preferably)
