The Respiratory Health Initiative

A comprehensive platform designed to support stakeholders dedicated to addressing the global challenge of chronic respiratory diseases.

The mission of the initiative is to champion action through evidence-based insights toward the best standard of care for chronic respiratory disease, with a focus on COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and Severe Asthma.

These conditions affect hundreds of millions of people across the globe, underscoring the critical need for targeted interventions and informed policymaking.

Explore the Tools: COPD Index and Severe Asthma Index

Utilising both publicly accessible and pioneering data sources, this initiative is committed to generating valuable insights that enhance stakeholder decision-making and refine strategies for managing chronic respiratory diseases. At the core of the initiative's tools are the COPD Index and the Severe Asthma Index. These indices provide a comparative analysis of over 30 countries, shedding light on different national approaches to managing these diseases.

Behind the Initiative

The COPD Index and Severe Asthma Index have been independently developed by the Institute and are validated by an independent, global, external Steering Committee.

Sanofi and Regeneron have provided unrestricted support in the development of the indices.
