Speaker: Katrine Ellersgaard Nielsen, Director, DI Professional Services
Today’s sessions are carefully designed to delve deep into emerging technologies, examining their transformative potential and the direction we are heading. Senior Futurist Bugge Holm Hansen will provide an overview, inviting us to consider not only the technical advancements but also their impact on society and industry. Get an overview of a day where we encourage you to reflect on both the promises and potential pitfalls of the path ahead.
In a world where AI’s compute power expands rapidly, how can Scandinavia leverage this to address critical challenges ahead? Six months into GEFION’s launch, what have we learned? This supercomputer - the most powerful of its kind in Europe - has opened new horizons in AI-driven research, but its impact is still emerging. Lene Oddershede examines initial findings as the potential outcomes are unfolding.
Jørn Larsen, CEO of Trifork, and Signe Simonsen, Founder of Race for Oceans, present a forward-looking vision for AI-driven environmental solutions, focusing on the ongoing development of the AI Beach Rover prototype. The rover, launched in collaboration with Trifork, collects plastic pellets to combat pervasive plastic pollution. As the project evolves, plans include using drones and AI to pinpoint waste hotspots and eventually enable scalable, eco-friendly waste removal on land. This initiative illustrates the broader potential of AI to create sustainable, biodiversity-preserving ecosystems on a global scale.
Join the internationally renowned tech journalist Evan Ratliff as he takes his AI clone with him on stage and explore the emerging field of AI voice cloning and its profound implications on human-machine relationships. His podcast ‘Shell Game’ was named one of the best podcasts of 2024 by Apple, The Economist, New York Magazine and others. In it, Evan’s voice agents talk to spammers and scammers, to Evan’s friends and family, to colleagues and sources, to other AIs, and even to a therapist—all to better understand what AI voice is able to do, what it can't yet do, and what to expect from a future in which more and more of the people we encounter in the world aren’t real. As AI blurs the line between human and synthetic voices, what happens to our perception of authenticity and trust? Ratliff navigates the social and ethical concerns raised by this technology, asking whether AI’s role in shaping interactions enhances or undermines genuine connections. What are the ethical crossroads of AI voice cloning for both personal and commercial uses?
Speaker: Evan Ratliff, Technology Journalist

With over 300,000 applications annually, manual screening processes created inefficiencies that left candidates waiting; and invited space for human biases to creep into hiring decisions. They wanted to judge candidates on something other than their name, experience, or ability to use ChatGPT. So, they did something radical - they completely eliminated traditional applications across Europe and adopted an AI-powered Chat Interview platform replacing CVs, reducing time to hire by 33%, all done by an ethical AI. While a human will always make the final decision, the groundwork is now being laid by AI, which is attempting to make it a fair, unbiased experience by evaluating all candidates based on their virtues and behavioural traits. Join Sebastian Jeppesen as he looks into the future of recruitment and shares how the company now uses an AI-driven platform to recruit talent.
In this interactive session before lunch, you are encouraged to engage with each other and share insights into navigating a future marked by uncertainties.
